Where I talk about why I’m doing my year-round pixel art challenge.
Some info about the game:
The Spectral Castle will be a zelda-like roguelike (or “procedural death labyrinth” for you hipsters out there) about being dead and trying to get back to the world of the living somehow.
The game will be procedurally-generated, but with a focus on important items. There won’t be any “Feeble Cobalt Sword of +3 Agility” or anything like that. No stat battles.
The combat is sorta inspired by a mix of Towerfall and Smash bros. Holding the button readies an attack, and releasing it executes it. However, if you change your direction while holding down attack, you’ll change what attack you do.
So i got photoshop and im considering starting to draw pixel art again? I quit because I was using gimp and it was just so frustrating I started to hate drawing. If people wanna suggest small one subject ideas to draw im gonna learn about how to use photoshop tonight.
